This is one of the latest books by Melbourne painter, printmaker & book artist Bruno Leti, and the first of his collaborations with Alan Loney. In 26 copies, all 2-page spreads show a facing poem and image. Each image is made up of two photographic images, one above the other, with a thin line of white between them, and the photographs were taken variously across three continents and about 30 years. The poems were written, not to have each poem respond to the image it faces, but to the meaning and process of placing words and pictures alongside each other in a general, even philosophical, sense. The images are laser printed by the artist, and the texts are screen printed by legendary screen-printer Larry Rawling. The sheets are in French fold Zerkall mouldmade paper, 59pp, 270x185mm, bound in red and yellow Indian handmade paper over boards in a black cloth-covered slipcase.
